I.How To Play
CheckerWarz has two modes of checkers, traditional, and a unique, fun-filled feature called CheckerWarz (hence, the name,). First I am going to describe how to play traditional checkers. Although I know it is a very widely known game, some people might need a recap.
In traditional checkers, you can choose to play against the computer (Man vs. CPU), or against a friend (Man vs Man). The object of the game is to capture or "eat" all of your opponent's checkers. You accomplish this by moving diagonally along the 8x8 checkerboard, or by jumping your opponents checkers, by moving your checker over an adjacent opponents checker to a empty space behind it. When a checker reaches the opposite end of the board, that checker attains king status, and is allowed to move backwards.
note:Man vs CPU has been toned down in difficulty, for younger and beggining players.
To move a checker, click on one while it is your turn, and drag it to another legal square, and release the mouse button. Simple, right?
To play the Checkerwarz feature, it's exactly the same as normal checkers, but way cooler. You play as normal, but when you jump over an opponent's checker, you are asked whether or not you would like to play a CheckerWar. If you select yes, you enter a challange with your opponent, that tests some of your skills. You will see a brief discription of the rules and how the game is played. When the CheckerWar is over, if you won, you will have jumped over your opponent's checker, but your opponents checker will turn into one of your own! However, if you lose, the checker that you jumped with will dissapear. Gotta have some risk, you know.
So that's it, try it out!
